My love for writing, along with my passion for talking sports, ultimately led to the creation of Baseline Perspective.
It’s all about the journey. I’ve been a sports fan for over thirty years, a blogger for the last seven years, and a credentialed-member of the media for the last three. If my path has taught me anything, it’s to embrace the process.
If you’re looking for breaking news, every hour and on the hour, this corner of the internet may not be for you. This site is for those that still believe in the journey, not just the sports fan.
In the sports world, much like in life, decision-making is fuel for the fire. One player, coach, or even owner, can cause their team to win or lose a game based on one decision. There will be opinion-driven content presented on this platform about those decisions.
For many young athletes, bloggers, and aspiring entrepreneurs, and media personalities, the journey has just begun. Part of the Baseline Perspective mission statement will include providing a platform to help introduce some of them to you.
The one’s following my progression know this is not my first trip around the blogosphere. I’ve enjoyed and learned from the process of creating content for my previous sites, The Fast Break Online and Sports Journal Daily.
Those sites prepared me for a transition into sports media. They also prepared me for balancing a career in Commercial Real Estate and Project Management. Yes, you read that right, I have two jobs.
What’s it really like covering a sporting event as a reporter? How does it feel to sit in a press box or courtside on press row?
There was a point where the decision was made to begin documenting my progression. They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. Well, I’m here to tell you that there’s definitely work involved to reach that level, change your mindset, and reach your goals.
